An MP is calling for the removal of a long-standing charge affecting thousands of homeowners.
Stuart Anderson MP is urging the Government to scrap the 10 per cent sales commission applied to park homes, arguing the charge is "unfair" and leaves residents out of pocket.
Mr Anderson said: "Many park home residents in South Shropshire are concerned about the 10% sales commission and think it is unfair. I know that the Government have committed to a consultation, but will they speed that up and just scrap the unfair commission?"

The maximum commission, prescribed in regulations made by the Secretary of State, has remained at 10 per cent since 1983 and can cost homeowners up to £18,000 when selling their park home.
Housing minister Matthew Pennycook MP responded: "We need to understand this issue better, because answers were not forthcoming in the consultation carried out under the previous Government regarding the rationale for the commission."
Mr Anderson began raising the issue in Parliament in July 2025 through a written question.
