A countryside food trail combining scenic views and local flavours is making a return.
The Shropshire Tasty Trail will take place on Sunday, April 26, offering a 9.5-mile walk through the Shropshire countryside, starting from Ellesmere’s Oteley Estate.
Along the route, walkers will enjoy a three-course meal featuring locally sourced food and drink.
Beth Heath, director of fun at Shropshire Festivals, said: "I am thrilled to bring back one of my favourite events – it’s all about celebrating local produce and our beautiful Shropshire countryside.
"In recent years, we have been too busy delivering public festivals and corporate event management to accommodate the Tasty Trail – but our visitors have not stopped asking when it will be coming back. So we are so pleased to be able to fit it into our busy 2026 event calendar, with events planned every month through to winter."

The route will take walkers past meres, through woodland, and across private estates not normally open to the public. The starting point is Ellesmere’s historic Oteley Estate.
The menu includes Oteley Made Sausage Rolls or a Spiced Sweet Potato Chickpea Roll paired with Hill Farm Spiced Plum Chutney and medium Shropshire Cider.
The main course is Slow Cooked Beef Bourguignon or a Three Bean Chilli, served with Niche Sourdough Bread, Estate’s Dairy Cultured Butter, and Station Bitter from Stonehouse Brewery. Dessert is a mixed berry cheesecake from Greenfields Farm Shop with an Iced Tea Spritz featuring The Shropshire Distillery’s After Noon Citrus Grey Tea Liqueur.
Beth Heath encouraged early booking. She said: "This is an environmentally low-impact event that champions our local food and drink sector.
"If you love discovering new countryside and enjoying locally made products, this event is for you. If you want to join us, tickets are likely to sell out as they are limited, so don’t delay in booking yours."
Tickets are £49.95 with alcoholic drinks or £45.95 for the soft drinks option. The price includes the walk, three-course meal, a drink at each stop, a reusable half-pint cup, and a lanyard.
