A dementia support group has relaunched with extra help for carers.
Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin's Bishop's Castle Dementia Support Group officially restarted on January 28.
The group provides a safe and welcoming environment for older people with dementia.
A carer said: "The best part is meeting like-minded people who understand, and seeing my husband interacting with the members and activities."
From January, the group will work closely with external organisations such as the Alzheimer’s Society, Admiral Nurse Service, and Shropshire Carers.
The charity hopes these partnerships will strengthen the support and resources available for those suffering from dementia and carers.
Emma Wilde, wellbeing services manager at Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin, said: "It’s so exciting to be working with other agencies to be able to provide extra help, as we know, information and support is a crucial part of supporting carers and helping people with dementia to live well."
The group meets monthly, typically on the fourth Tuesday, from 2pm to 4pm, at the Grange Road Community Centre, Bishop’s Castle.
