Ludlow Castle are offering fun for everyone this August, be it an archaeological exploration, a storyteller for children or your chance to meet some Tudors!
From August 10-11, you can learn about and see the archaeology of the town and castle with archaeologist Leon Bracelin, and Shropshire Finds Liaison Officer, Clara, says the castle’s website.
As with all of the castle’s August events, admission for this event is included with your castle tickets. Book your free place online to avoid disappointment, their website suggests.
On August 17 and 18 August, a suitcase storyteller will be performing at the castle. Those looking for a fully engaging and interactive dive into storybooks, using props, music, drama and more. “This isn’t your standard story reading,” says Ludlow Castle.
The storyteller will be offering four sessions across both Saturday and Sunday, including books ‘Dear Zoo’, ‘The Magic Easel’, ‘Room on the Broom’ and ‘The Knight Who Wouldn’t Fight’. Visitors are welcome to stay for all four of the 45min, outdoor sessions should they wish.
Last but not least, make August 25 and August 26 a date to come and join Past-Times Living History for unique, fun, family-friendly, fact-filled shows at Ludlow Castle.
The historical, Tudor figures will be on hand to entertain, enlighten, and engage with everyone, so make sure to bring along some questions to ask. Along with three unique performances per day, there will be lots of photo opportunities to capture your memories in the grounds of the beautiful, historically important Ludlow Castle.
