YOUNG farmers from Tenbury put up a strong fight against the opposition at this year's Three Counties Show.
Tenbury Young Farmers Club took top place in the cake decorating, line dancing, junior exhibit, and wagon racing competitions at the Malvern-based show.
They also took an excellent second-place in the junior tug of war against very strong opposition, with their three-times-a-week training schedule paying dividends.
And, just to top off the event, the group found themselves in the company of farming celebrity, Kaleb Cooper, who shot to fame on Amazon TV series Clarkson's Farm.
The show follows the trials of veteran motoring show presenter Jeremy Clarkson, of Top Gear and Grand Tour fame, as he embarks on life as a farmer in the Cotswolds.
Mr Cooper, now farm manager at Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm, has been one of the mainstays of the programme since the start, often despairing at Clarkson's schemes.
Tenbury YFC spokesperson Sam Davies said the teams had either won or done very well at the Worcestershire Young Farmers Club Rally before they could qualify to compete at the famous Three Counties Show.
"Really good results for a group of young Tenbury people who have put huge amounts of time and effort into their competitions," she said.
Tenbury YFC gas also recently donated a total of £1,000, split equally, to four local charities following their very successful November Bonfire Night event in Tenbury.
