A THIEF who was already banned from Ludlow shops has struck again.
Thomas Rutter pleaded guilty to four counts of theft from a shop and three counts of breaching a criminal behaviour order. He was convicted by magistrates in Telford on May 8.
The court heard from prosecutor Sara Beddow that the 25-year-old had stolen alcohol from Sainsbury’s, laundry tablets from the One Stop and a waterproof coat from Fat Face in Ludlow between November 4 and November 12.
He was already banned from entering the Sainsbury’s and One Stop shops by a criminal behaviour order, so was prosecuted for breaching this order and entering the shops.
Rutter, who is of Wellington Road, Handsworth, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge. He was not ordered to pay compensation due to limited means.
This means he has not been sentenced for the offences at this stage, but would be sentenced if he were to re-offend within the next 12 months.
