FIREFIGHTERS were called to a home where flooding had caused an issue with the electrics.

A crew from Ewyas Harold Fire Station was called just after 11pm on Saturday (April 27) to flooding of internal electrics at a home in Garway Hill.

Water was coming from a flooding kitchen sink, which was isolated.

A spokesperson for the fire service said there were no casualties and no other emergency services attended.

They left the scene just after 11.45pm.

They said in a statement: "A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Ewyas Harold Fire Station was called at 11.05pm on April 27 to flooding of internal electrics at a house in Garway Hill. A flooding sink in a kitchen was isolated by fire service personnel.

"There were no casualties and no other emergency services attended. The incident was marked as pending closure at 11.49pm."

After flooding of electrics, the fire service advises not to go near any exposed wiring, attempt electrical repairs or connection yourself, or use any mains-powered electrical appliances.
