BRITAIN'S Got Talent stars will be performing at the mayor of Mold's forthcoming fundraising concert.

Cllr Theresa Carberry's event takes place on Saturday, April 27 at 7pm at Bethesda Chapel in Mold.

The evening will be headlined by Richard and Adam Johnson, who found fame on ITV’s Britain's Got Talent (coming in 3rd place).

Following the final of BGT, the brothers, from Holywell, signed a record deal and have since had a number one album, 'The Impossible Dream' that remained at the top of the charts for four consecutive weeks, breaking UK records.

A sell-out UK tour followed and a number five charting album titled 'At The Movies' that competed with international artistes including Dolly Parton.

Their fourth album ‘Believe’ again reached the top 10 in the UK charts and was number one in the classical chart.

With shows all around the world, Richard and Adam have performed alongside huge stars of the stage such as Jackie Evancho, Sir Tom Jones and Leona Lewis to name a few.

They were recently given the opportunity to return to TV with ‘Britain’s Got Talent The Champions’ selected from hundreds of acts from around the world receiving standing a ovation from Wembley arena and all the judges including Simon Cowell. As they start a new chapter, and with the increasing commercial appeal of classical crossover and musical theatre genres, Richard and Adam are focusing on their future and touring all over the UK with a brand new shows.

Councillor Carberry said: “I am absolutely delighted that Richard and Adam have taken time out of their busy schedules to headline my charity concert. They have such incredible voices, it is always a joy to watch them perform.

"This evening is the final of my mayoral fundraising events as I prepare to hand over the mayoral chain on May 8. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me during my time as mayor and all the support shown towards my mayoral appeal, throughout the 12 months. It has once again been a great honour to be mayor of our fantastic town.”

Also performing on the evening is Cor Y Pentan, a mixed community choir of about 25 members, all of whom are from the local area.
