A SPEEDING Shropshire driver was caught out on camera breaking the limit while behind the wheel of his car, a court has heard.
Jeffrey Alan Beamond was proven guilty of one count of speeding by magistrates in Worcester.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 57-year-old, who was not present in the court for the hearing, had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Ford in a 40 miles per hour zone on the B4362 at Comberton on June 7.
He was clocked speeding on the road, which links the B4361 at Orleton with the A49 at Woofferton, by manned camera equipment, the court was told.
Beamond, of Hallets Well in Orleton, Shropshire, was fined £220 and received three penalty points on his driving licence for the offence.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and an £88 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
