A VOLVO driver has been fined by magistrates after he was caught breaking the limit on a busy Ludlow road.
Dowie John Owen entered a guilty plea to one count of exceeding a 30 miles per hour speed limit when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 20-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Volvo V50 in a 30 miles per hour limit in Overton Road in Ludlow, Shropshire, on May 24.
He had been clocked speeding by manned camera equipment, the magistrates were told.
Owen, of Onibury, Craven Arms, was fined £210 and received three penalty points for the offence, with magistrates saying that they had taken his guilty plea to the charge into account when deciding on the penalty.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and an £84 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
