A FARM shop in Ludlow has launched festive specials for the Christmas season this year.

Ludlow Pantry has announced that one of the specials is a pigs in blankets roll, consisting of warm sausages, streaky bacon and cranberry sauce.

It said in a Facebook post: "Try our brand-new pigs in blankets roll with warm Ludlow Farmshop sausages wrapped in streaky bacon with cranberry sauce! Available from Friday, December 1."

Ludlow Pantry is a takeaway at Ludlow Farmshop, which is located at Bromfield two miles from town. It is open seven days a week from 7.30am to 4pm, and allows customers to grab fresh food and drink on the go.

Its usual options, which are available alongside the festive specials, include breakfast slices and croissants, as well as lunch options like freshly made sandwiches, paninis, salad pots, hot soup, sausage rolls, pasties and more. For a sweet treat, the Pantry offers a selection of bakery treats and ice creams. Hot and cold drinks are also available with freshly roasted coffee.

It is based in Ludlow Farmshop, which also has other places to eat and shop. Many of the shop's products are from the farm's supply and the surrounding local area.

For instance, the farm traditionally rears Limousin cross beef cattle along with Shropshire lamb, which are used in the shop's butchery and restaurant. Other products like free range high welfare pork and poultry are sourced locally, as well as venison and game. Seasonal vegetables are supplied to the shop from a nearby walled garden, and milk is provided by a robotic dairy which the shop uses to make its own cheese and yogurt.

Guests are even able to stay at the Farmshop, in the Clive Arms which is its onsite restaurant with rooms.

The Clive Arms also has its own festive menu, which includes starters like cauliflower and chestnut soup, main dishes like roast turkey or pork, and dessert options including Christmas pudding.
