LUDLOW Rotary club president Tony Quint has this year been given £1,000 to distribute among the charities of his choice.
Mr Quint, whose presidential year spanned 2007 to 2008, said: "I have been impressed by the enthusiasm, imagination and commitment of the supporters of the Teme Weirs, Whitcliffe Common and Dinham Millennium Green initiative while Ludlow New Voices offers a chance for young people, aged nine to 16, to join a choir, whatever their ability or experience."
Cheques were also presented to Bedstone College to buy a radio microphone and to Rotarian Mark Meads, towards the cost of running and maintaining the Rotary mini-bus.
