YOUNG farmers will kick off this year's Ludlow Winter Festival with a tractor run through town, it has been announced.
The town council says this year's winter festival, from November 24 to 26, will be a three-day celebration that will showcase a wide range of attractions.
The young farmers will get things going with an impressive tractor run through the streets, bringing people together for the start of the festival.
For those seeking unique and handcrafted Christmas gifts, a market will be held on Saturday and Sunday in Market Square, with a fair on Saturday at St Laurence's Church.
Market Square will also be transformed into a stage for festive music and entertainment with a visit from Santa and his reindeer.
The Winter Ball at the Feathers Hotel promises an evening of dancing for guests, while music enthusiasts can enjoy folk music, an open mic night and a concert over the weekend.
Additionally, a pizza and poetry night at St Laurence's Church will offer a unique event for those interested in the spoken word.
Perhaps the most anticipated event of the weekend is the Christmas lights switch-on at 5pm on the Saturday, when the rotary tree will also be turned on.
