LUDLOW Brewery’s annual race day is returning next week.

Horse racing, betting and beer, will be coming to Ludlow Racecourse on Wednesday, October 11.

Gates open at 11am. The first race is at 2.10pm, with the last race closing the day’s excitement at 5.35pm.

The event is now in its fifth year running, with last year’s race day being a great success despite having to reschedule to due poor weather.

Alongside the betting, brewery staff will be serving up selected cask ales, craft beers, and other alcoholic beverages and soft drinks.

Managing director Gary Walters said: "We are delighted to be hosting our fifth annual race day. Our brewery day is the first meet of Ludlow Racecourse's Jump Racing season this autumn, and we hope it will get the season off to a great start.

"We look forward to mingling with everyone as you enjoy a flutter and a pint or two, while soaking up the atmosphere at one of the country's friendliest racecourses.”

Racegoers who buy tickets in advance can save £5 off full price admission, and get a free pint or any other beverage on the bar.

Advance ticket buyers could be randomly picked to receive a golden ticket, with prizes including a free ticket, race card, beer and brewery tour.

A Ludlow Brewery Premier Badge can be bought for £16, rather than the full price of £21, if the promo code LB23 is added to your basket when checking out.

Alternatively, ticket buyers can call the racecourse office on 01584 856 221 quoting Ludlow Brewery Race Day Offer, and receive their tickets by post.

The Ludlow Brewery Premier Badge admits to all areas of the racecourse except the Annual Members' Club Room and the Owners and Trainers Lounge. Facilities include: two bars situated in The Windsor Marquee opposite The Grandstand and Tattenhall Bar, which is operated by Ludlow Brewery at every race meet.

A free shuttle bus organised by Ludlow Racecourse, with the first collection from Ludlow train station at 12.30pm and returning to the station approximately half an hour after the last race.
