ECO-FRIENDLY homes across Shropshire will be opening their doors to visitors next month.
Run by the charity behind Keep Shropshire Warm, the Green Doors event will see dozens of eco-friendly houses all over the county opening their doors so that visitors can have a look around and ask the homeowners about their journey to a more energy-efficient, greener home.
There will be a total of six Green Doors days this October, with the event being held on October 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29.
Heat pumps, solar panels and batteries, electric vehicle charging, water-saving devices, and insulation will be on show.
A spokesperson said: “We all know we could be more energy efficient in our homes. There are many benefits, from having a cosier and healthier home to reducing our carbon emissions, and of course those fuel bills.
“But what are the right steps to take, and in what order?
“Perhaps the best way to answer these questions is to ask someone who’s already installed green tech in their home.”
