TENBURY fire station is celebrating service milestones of two of its firefighters, who have now been at the station for several years.
Firefighter Ashley Morris and crew commander Oliver Prouse have worked at Tenbury fire station for 10 and five years respectively.
Firefighter Morris joined the service in April 2013 and has served his entire career at Tenbury while working as a manager at M and M, while crew commander Prouse joined in June 2018 and works at the service alongside his job at Tenbury High Ormiston Academy. As well as his recent promotion to crew commander, Prouse is a driver and a member of the water first responder team.
Station commander Ian Bowkett said: "Firefighter Ashley Morris has been a credit to Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and his on call roll with Tenbury fire station since joining back in 2013 providing over 40,000 hours of cover to the community. He recently started a family but continues to help many in their hour of need. He has developed into a highly competent firefighter in this time and also strives to develop new skills.
"Oliver Prouse has been an on call firefighter since 2018 and has since become a member of our water first responder team and a driver. He acquired his incident command qualification and is now a crew comander, providing vital resilience and ensuring we keep our communities safe.
"I hope that they both continue to thrive serving their community."
