A TEENAGE artist who has caught the attention of Prince William and Kate, has seen one of his artworks go on show in Shrewsbury.
Joe Whale, 13 years, globally known as The Doodle Boy and hailing from Shrewsbury embarked on an extraordinary artistic endeavour, drawing parallels between his own talent and the town's other most celebrated son, Charles Darwin.
The Doodle Boy's artistic prowess has earned him widespread global acclaim, including a major collaboration with Nike.
Joe created his masterpiece on an eight foot long canvas at the grade 1 listed library in Shrewsbury, which was the former Shrewsbury School building where Darwin attended classes as a child.
The artwork celebrates Darwin200, a major global conservation initiative retracing Charles Darwin's historic voyage on HMS Beagle almost 200 years ago.
Led by young and talented conservationists and supported in 32 stopover ports by local conservation organisations, this two-year voyage seeks to commemorate Darwin's legacy and further scientific understanding in the field of evolutionary biology.
