TRAIN enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that an iconic steam engine will be passing through Shropshire on Thursday (July 13). 

According to realtimetrains.co.uk the 46100 Royal Scot will be entering the county at 11.36am when it comes through Woofferton. 

It will then travel north into Ludlow, where it will arrive four minutes later.

The train will continue its journey through Bromfield, Onibury, Craven Arms and Church Stretton before finishing in Shrewsbury at 12.37pm. 

However, if you miss seeing the train during the morning, you will have another chance to see it when it comes back through the county on its return journey.
