PEOPLE in Ludlow are being invited to a special coronation tea party at a retirement apartment block.
The event will take place on Tuesday, May 2 from 2pm to 4pm, at Betjeman Lodge. Guests will be treated to music, fizz, refreshments and goody bags to get the celebrations underway for the historic occasion.
Bernadette Hennelly, marketing manager for the apartments, said: “We’re excited to welcome everyone to our special coronation tea party for a historic national event that few of us are old enough to have experienced before.
"We’ll have a host of treats and great entertainment on offer, as well as the chance to meet our friendly team. Everyone is welcome to come and join the party and see for themselves the wonderful community atmosphere here.”
The purpose-built retirement apartments are sold by Churchill Retirement Living to people over 60. Churchill hopes that the coronation tea party will allow people to find out more about the lifestyle at the accommodation and to meet those who currently live there.
