THIS year Ludlow Carnival, which is run by Ludlow Fringe, will take place on Saturday, June 17, and the theme will be Myths, Legends & Fairytales to align it with the Shakespeare play A Midsummers Night’s Dream.

Fringe Festival organiser Anita Bigsby has welcomed Anne Pitts to the Fringe team to organise the Carnival this year, as she has over 14 years of experience in providing art consultancy to schools.

Ms Pitts will be hosting a meeting at Ludlow Brewery on Monday, March 13, between 7pm and 9pm, and invites all local schools and organisations to come along to get involved in the planning.

“We are very keen to keep the momentum going from last year and make the Carnival even more successful in Ludlow,” said Ms Pitts.

Flabbergast Theatre, who are performing the Shakespeare play in the castle, are also offering local schools and organisations the opportunity to take advantage of their skills in set design and costume design, to help make the best carnival floats and costumes.
