LUDLOW Brewery showed its environmental credentials, with thousands of reusable cups for the first meeting of the year at Ludlow racecourse on Friday.

‘Fantastic initiative of reusable cups from Ludlow Brewery and Ludlow Racecourse,’ posted Ludlow Town Council.

‘Taking small steps in the right direction to minimise our waste is what we all need to be thinking about right now to reduce our carbon footprint.’

Two thousand reusable cups from the Christmas races were washed ready for race day.

The use of cups and other materials that can be used many times over rather than thrown away is one of the ways of helping to protect the environment and reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill, for disposal, where it can take years to break down, if ever.
