THE Pump Rooms in Tenbury is offering a warm welcome to anyone who wants to keep the cold away on Friday mornings.

It has been designated as a location where people can keep warm and meet others.

The Pump Rooms is one of a number of destinations across Worcestershire that is helping to tackle the cost of living crisis.

Between 10am and 1pm on Friday, it is the place where people can go to stay warm and enjoy a free hot drink.

‘Warm welcome’ locations have been established across the country with the primary objective of helping people who have concerns about the rising cost of energy and are worried about if they are able to heat their homes.

As well as keeping warm, there is also an opportunity to meet people and perhaps make new friends.

Apart from a 10 day period before Christmas, so far the autumn and winter has been mild, but despite the lengthening days there is still plenty of time for it to get very cold before the arrival of spring.
