THE Guest of Honour at Ludlow Lib Democrats Summer event will be Helen Morgan, the new MP for North Shropshire.
She is anxious to thank the great contribution that members from Ludlow made to her overturning a Tory majority of nearly 23,000 at the by-election last December.
Helen Morgan MP, took the former safe Conservative seat of North Shropshire in a by-election last November, following the resignation of former MP Owen Patterson, following a breach of parliamentary rules which was the first of a series of scandals that led to the downfall of Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
The scale of the North Shropshire defeat has most recently been replicated in a by-election in Tiverton in Devon.
Ludlow Liberal Democrat Summer event will be held at Ashford Carbonell Village Hall from 2 pm to 5pm on Saturday, July 16.
