SECTIONS of the A338 Wessex Way are set to be closed overnight next week.
BCP Council is carrying out highway maintenance work on the dual carriageway.
From 8.30pm on Monday, July 4, until 5am on Tuesday, July 5, the road will be shut in both directions between County Gates to St Paul’s Roundabout and there will also be a closure eastbound from St Paul’s Roundabout to Springbourne Roundabout.
The following night between the same times, closures will be in place in both directions between the Cooper Dene Flyover and Springbourne Roundabout, as well as westbound only between Springbourne Roundabout and St Paul’s Roundabout.
The council said that sections will be closed and reopened both nights as work progresses, with signed diversion routes in place. Full emergency services access will be maintained.
A temporary traffic regulation order notice said: “The council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this temporary prohibition.”
A spokesman for the council said the work would include litter picking, grass cutting, weed spraying, gully cleansing, and some carriageway defect repairs.
