THE team that provides guided tours of Ludlow is trying something new for visitors coming to the town this summer.
Visitors can be taken around the town by guides impersonating characters from Ludlow’s long history and they will be in costume
These tours are on Tuesday evenings at 7pm and the first one involved guide Mike Beazley in the role of Samuel Mole, who was governor of Ludlow after the victory of the Parliamentarians in the English Civil War.
Future in character guided tours will be taken by Cecily Duchess of York, Philip Hume of Mortimer History Society, Margaret de Lattre’s walking around Ludlow’s town walls, and John Turnor, Steward of Palmer’s Guild during War of Roses
All tours leave the cannon outside Ludlow Castle at 7.00pm but should be booked in advance at Visitor Information Centre: visitors@ludlowassembly rooms.co.uk or in person, or by phone 01584 813705
