AN ATTACKER assaulted two police officers in a Herefordshire market town.

Cameron Fanning entered guilty pleas to magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard the 22-year-old had assaulted two police officers acting in the course of their duties by beating in Leominster on March 24.

He had also used threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour towards a woman in the town with intent to cause her to believe that unlawful violence would be used against her on the same date.

Fanning, of Sandpits Avenue, Ludlow, was ordered to pay compensation of £50 to each of the officers and was fined a total of £450. He must also pay a £45 victim surcharge.
