PICTURES from the fire service show the aftermath of a "nasty" two-car crash near Ludlow which left one driver with serious injuries.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said one driver, a man, was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham after the crash on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services, including paramedics and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews, were called to the head-on crash on the A4110 in Yatton, 10 miles from Ludlow in Herefordshire, at 1.31pm.
An ambulance service spokesperson said two other people from the other car were treated for minor injuries and taken to Hereford County Hospital, with two ambulances, a paramedic officer and Midland Air Ambulance from Cosford at the scene.

Firefighters from Kingsland shared pictures of the scene, with a yellow kit car crashing with a blue Volvo estate.
The crew said it was a "nasty" crash involving the sports car.
"We were joined by colleagues from Leintwardine fire station, police and ambulance, but most importantly the air ambulance.
"This arrived swiftly and as always gave the best advanced medical care to a casualty.
"We are so fortunate to have this service and save countless lives every year."
