JOIN Curlew Country on World Curlew Day, that’s today, to raise money for Britain’s largest wader!
Fundraising walks will give people the opportunity to learn more about these fantastic birds while helping secure their future.
Starting from the Stiperstones, the scenic 13-mile circuit around the Shropshire Hills will take in beautiful scenery and Curlew hotspots along the way.
While a shorter family friendly route of four miles will include Curlew craft activities as well as the chance to spot a giant Curlew. Even if not walking, get involved by visiting Habberley Village Hall between 10am and 2pm to find out about all things Curlew or get involved in the family crafts at The Bog car park. There is also the opportunity to purchase the information pack and complete the route between April 22 and 24 for those who can’t make it on the day. All funds raised will go towards continuing with Curlew Country’s vital Curlew recovery work. For more information visit www.curlewcountry.org
