LUDLOW Town Tours started this last weekend with walk-up tours available every Saturday and Sunday through to the end of October.
However, partly the result of the effect of the increase in staycation holidays, Ludlow’s 18 volunteer guides have been very busy with privately booked tours during the last month. Tours cost £5 per head with children free and all people need to do is turn up at the cannon outside Ludlow Castle at 2.30pm on a Saturday or Sunday and a guide will meet visitors and for 90 minutes lead them around the historic medieval town.
Private tours for individuals or groups can be booked at any time or day; contact Roger Furniss: furniss@phnecoop.coop or 01584 874205.
Proceeds go to facilitate further historical research into Ludlow’s past.
