YOUNG people with a love for the countryside are able to lend a hand managing and protecting the county’s landscape with the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Young Rangers project.

Young Rangers offers people aged from 12 to 16 new opportunities for exploration, learning and adventure in the great outdoors. Meaningful and fun activities are led by qualified and experienced outdoor leaders.

A range of activities has been organised for the young environmentalists to get stuck into over the coming months.

These include scrub clearing, hedge planting and nest box building that will take place during the February half-term holiday for birds, bats and door mice.
