ALMOST £2,000 has been raised as a result of a tractor run that involved more than 100 machines.
Local businesses TFM Ludlow, Joe Price Supplies. Tesco Ludlow, Midway Motor Parts and Ludlow Brewery all gave prizes.
The event went ahead with help on the day from some Brimfield Club Members.
There were 105 vehicles on the run ranging from vintage tractors, modern tractors, lorries, vintage cars, old Land Rovers’, 4 x 4’s and even a hill climb car and beach buggy.
The public turned out in the hundreds. They lined the roads and pavements in many areas of Ludlow, especially the town centre.
It took place over a 19 mile route with the permission of local farmer Richard Gough and Mark Wiggin allowing the route to go over their land.
Viv Parry, Ludlow Deputy Mayor and Shropshire councillor for Ludlow south, judged the best lit up vehicle which she decided was a tractor brought along by Alison Preece.
