AS part of its work to help every eligible person in Shropshire receive their Covid-19 booster jab by the end of the year, Shropshire Council has been offering free transport to booked vaccination appointments.

The offer is open to anyone who does not have their own transport and is unable to arrange transport through family, friends or local transport in order to get a vaccination.

Subject to availability, the council can help by arranging transport to get you to your previously booked appointment.

To arrange this, contact the council’s Covid-19 Helpline on 0345 678 9028 Lines are open Monday to Friday, working hours.

To book this you must give at least 48 hours’ notice to allow time for the transport to be arranged, and you must have a pre-booked vaccination or booster appointment.

The transport will take you to the appointment and back home once you have had your jab.
