IN light of the uncertainty around Covid-19 restrictions Ludlow Town Council decided against holding a seniors’ Christmas party this year and instead spread a little bit of festive joy and kindness by delivering goody bags to 200 of Ludlow’s senior citizens.
Being aware of our carbon footprint we used the excellent service of Ludlow cargo bike deliveries to distribute the bags to people’s doorsteps, whilst being considerate of Covid-19 restrictions.
The town council delivered to mainly individual residents and several councillors, including the mayor, councillor Robin Pote, could be seen joining the deliveries in some areas to give a personal Christmas greeting.
“I am really pleased we could brighten up the day of some of our senior citizens whilst using the fantastic cargo bikes,” said Mr Pote.
“It is fantastic to support such a worthwhile initiative.”
