THE picturesque Nash and Boraston 10k Dash returned to great acclaim after a year’s absence on Sunday.

Almost 100 runners tackled the scenic route, helping to raise hundreds of pounds for local churches.

Croft Ambrey RC dominated the top positions with Matthew Yapp first male runner home and Hannah Fletcher first female.

The event has been running for several years but was postponed last year due to the Covid pandemic.

Organiser Claire Thomas said: “It’s a real local community event and the runners love coming back for the cake and soup and refreshments at the end.

“It’s quite a hilly race so it’s tough but very rewarding. The countryside around the roads is just stunning and the runners love it. It was brilliant.”
