A HOTEL on the Herefordshire border has made it on to a list of the top 100 hotels in the country.
Pensons, on the 1,200-acre Netherwood Estate – which advertises itself as a 'restaurant with room' – has made The Sunday Times list of the 100 best British hotels.
The hotel's restaurant opened two years ago and retained its Michelin star earlier this year.

Head chef Chris Simpson is known for his imaginative ingredient-led menus showcasing the very best seasonal produce that grows in the kitchen garden, on the estate, or from trusted local suppliers.
The Michelin inspectors said during the recent inspection that the hotel restaurant offered "classically inspired dishes with modern overtones and an unfussy, pared-back style: flavour is to the fore, contrasts are sophisticated and there’s good balance between the courses. The delicious bread is a must and service is endearing".
The hotel, which is on the Bromyard road south of Tenbury Wells, was one of 20 in the central region, with the regional winner being named the Grand Hotel in Birmingham.
