LUDLOW market has a busy run up to Christmas.
The Town Council sees the market as a key ingredient in bringing visitors to the town and encouraging them to spend.
Regular events on the market that will continue through the autumn are the local produce market held on the second and fourth Thursday of every month with the emphasis on the local.
There is an antiques and collectables market on the first and third Sunday of each month.
Today a food and craft market will take place and on Sunday there is a craft and country market.
The market will be dressed to spook when a special Halloween market takes place on Sunday, October 31.
Over the last weekend of November the two day Medieval Fayre takes place at Ludlow Castle and market traders will also be getting into the spirit.
The market has paid tribute to one of its traders, Geoff Hill, who along with his wife Debbie sold rugs, cushions, stools as GMH interiors. Mr Hall died in September but his wife continues to trade from Ludlow market.
During December there is also a tradition of Tinsel Tuesday festive themed markets selling gifts and goodies.
