LUDLOW Town Tours, organised by Ludlow Historical Reserach Group, have seen a boom in support with post lockdown visitors to Ludlow mushrooming.

In addition to the regular walk-up tours organised at 2.30pm from the cannon outside the Castle on Saturdays and Sundays they have organised 2.30am tours every day in August and September which have been well supported and appreciated by visitors.

In appreciation of the efforts by the 16 volunteer guides, the Ludlow Historical Research Group sponsored a day visit to Great Malvern where guides were taken on a Great Malvern town tour and a tour of the Priory.

Mr Furniss says that the reopening of the Ludlow Visitor Centre has played a part in the increased level of support.

There is always a need for new guides to join the increasingly busy team.

Visitors can organise tours at a time to suit by contacting Roger Furniss: furniss@phonecoop.coop or 01584 874205. Anyone interested in being a guide should contact Mr Furniss for more information about the work.
