A SERIOUS crash closed the A49 between Hereford and Shrewsbury for several hours overnight.
A police spokesperson said the road was closed after the crash, which happened between the All Stretton turn and Church Stretton junction over the border in Shropshire just before 9pm last night (May 15).
A fire service spokesperson said two fire appliances from Church Stretton and Craven Arms were called to the crash.
An operations officer was also in attendance.
The crash involved two vehicles, which were made safe by fire service personnel, while several casualties were left in the care of the ambulance service
The road was fully reopened in the early hours of this morning and investigations are underway, police confirmed.
