TIME is rapidly running out for people who want to vote in the May elections but are not registered.

In order to cast a vote people must be registered to do so by 11.59pm on Monday, April 19.

In Ludlow and south Shropshire there are town and parish council elections and well as elections for Shropshire Council and the Police and Crime Commissioner.

In Tenbury and the Teme Valley there are elections for Worcestershire County Council and the Police and Crime Commissioner.

Polling stations will be open as usual although some venues may have changed because of the needs to social distance.

Voters are being asked to bring their own marker pens and pencils.

To register people must be, a British citizen or an Irish or EU citizen living in the UK, a Commonwealth citizen who has permission to enter or stay in the UK, or who does not need permission.

People can vote if they are over the age of 18 on polling day. It is only necessary to register once and can be done online.
