On Easter Thursday, Ludlow French Twinning’s online family quiz will be a quiz with a difference. It will be open to French as well as British contestants.
‘We came up with the idea at our recent on-line AGM," says quiz master Oli Prowse
"That went well, so we decided on the quiz. There’s no reason to restrict this to English speakers. We’ll see how this one goes and then think about a bilingual version. That should be quite fun, too."
Ludlow French Twinning has been running exchange visits with La Ferté Macé in Normandy for 33 years without a break, until 2020. It now has 70 members of all ages.
“Despite Covid, twinning is thriving because members on both sides of the channel are keeping in touch regularly," said Sylvia Duffy, chair of the Ludlow group.
The French visit to Ludlow in 2020 is postponed until October or May 2022, due to Covid.
