TOURISM is a huge part of the economic wellbeing of Ludlow and south Shropshire and in Tenbury and the Teme Valley supporting thousands of jobs.

Businesses providing holiday accommodation, including caravan parks and campsites, were able to join a free webinar on Monday to hear how they can reopen safely when the coronavirus lockdown restrictions begin to ease.

By attending the webinar, businesses learned about the latest developments around the Government’s roadmap out of the third lockdown, and what sites and specific facilities can reopen safely from Monday, April 12 if conditions are met, and likewise from Monday, May 17.

Panellists included Mark Hooper, Visit Shropshire, Jessica Moores, Shropshire Council’s licensing team, and Damon Beaufoy, Shropshire Council environmental health officer in regulatory services, was on hand to provide practical advice and guidance on re-opening accommodation safely, and to provide updates on the latest Covid safe legislation.
