AS the vaccination programme in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin continues to gather pace, more people in their 60s are being offered their vaccinations.
With more than 85 per cent of local people aged over 65 now vaccinated, people aged 64 and under are being lined up to be next to receive their vaccination.
Letters inviting everyone aged 65 to 69 inclusive went out a week ago; this week, people aged 64 can book; and invitations are being sent to everyone aged 60 to 63 inclusive next.
People aged 64 or over, who want to have their first dose, should log in to the national booking system at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or call 119 free of charge, anytime between 7am and 11pm, seven days a week.
From early March, people aged 60 to 64 inclusive will be asked to do the same and book in for their first jab, Everyone is encouraged to have their NHS number to hand to reduce the booking time. To find your NHS number, visit: https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/online-services/find-nhs-number
