PEOPLE who need access to the Internet for emergency purposes can now use computer facilities in a number of libraries across the county.
The access is being offered in the larger libraries only, where spaces can be managed safely with Covid-19-secure measures in place.
The libraries are Ludlow, Church Stretton, Bridgnorth, Market Drayton, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. Sessions must be booked in advance by contacting the relevant library.
An emergency will be something that can only be done online and needs to be done urgently, cannot be done by another agency, and with consequences that could be otherwise be detrimental to a person’s health, wellbeing or personal circumstances.
Use of the library computers must be pre-booked and are limited to 45 minutes.
Appointments have to be made and so anyone wanting to use a computer should contact the relevant library in advance and not just turn up to log onto a machine.
