LUDLOW Town Council that runs the markets in the town believes that they are the most environmentally friendly way to shop.
The Ludlow Market has operated on the same site for over 900 years and continues to offer shoppers a fantastic choice of products from small and artisan producers and sellers.
These range from fresh fruit and veg to locally produced game pies, wines and spirits produced on the Clee Hills, local fashion designers to handmade wooden furniture and oil paintings.
The Council says that the market is a wonderful place to meet local producers and shop in the picturesque surroundings of Ludlow’s Castle Square.
Alongside local producers there are also traders selling all sorts of general and household products and gifts that include fabrics, wool, books, jewellery and plants, as well as offering services such as picture framing.
Ludlow Town Council has recently invested in upgrading its market operation and believes that they are the greenest, most local and most ethical way to shop.
