TWO long serving Friends of Tenbury Museum are moving away.
Liz Finlay, who was the Chairman for many years and likewise Mike Thompson, as the Honorary Secretary, were both responsible for over 10 years of dedicated service to the running of the museum and also more recently, to the organisation of the monthly programme of history talks enjoyed by a growing audience before Covid 19 restrictions prevented them from taking place.
They were also involved in the discussions on the proposed re-location of the museum and its collections to a more central site in the Old Fire Station – a proposal which is on temporary hold due to current restrictions.
The museum is looking forward to a new future when it eventually moves to the old fire station near the entrance to Tesco in Teme Street.
This will enable the museum to add to its collection, expand its services and become a better visitor attraction.
