LUDLOW Library like all of the others in the county is now reopen and the next stage will be to extend the hours.

Shropshire Libraries now has all 21 libraries open.

Following national guidance, Shropshire Council has been taking a phased approach to reopening, to ensure the safety of everyone, with reduced opening times and social distancing arrangements in place.

It makes things a bit more like normal for book worms in the county.

Hundreds of people have made use of the ‘click and collect’ and e-library services, but many more have missed visiting their local library.

So the council is now looking to extend these opening times to give customers more time to browse, use computers and allow families to visit after school.

To coincide with National Libraries Week from Monday, October 5, it will begin the next phase in opening hours subject to no new restrictions being introduced.
