A NEW bus shelter has been installed at the bus stop on Sheet Road in Ludlow.
The installation followed a public consultation that identified two sites in urgent need of a shelter.
Unfortunately, there was not enough pavement space at the Aldi bus stop, so this could not be taken forward, but there is ample space on the footpath on Sheet Road for the shelter.
Chair of Ludlow Town Council Representational Committee, Cllr Glenn Ginger said: ‘Ludlow Town Council has committed to installing a new bus shelter in Ludlow each year.
“Last year one was installed in Corve Street, and this year in Sheet Road.
“The town council will continue with further community infrastructure improvements next year.”
Ludlow Town Council undertakes a public consultation to find out where people living in the town feel that a new bus shelter is needed most.
Bus services in Ludlow are now restored to the level that they were at before the lockdown in March. At one point services were cut.
