AN EXERCISE class designed to keep parents fit alongside their children has been launched across Furness.

Jane Crossley has launched her class Buggybeat which was created by the fitness and nutrition leader and proud mum Rachel Holmes. BuggyBeat has seen Rachel combine her expert fitness and nutrition knowledge alongside her experience of being a mum, to deliver a unique parent friendly fitness programme.

At the class, parents understand how difficult it can be to find the time to stay fit whilst caring for a little one. That’s why Rachel created a programme that combines keeping fit and spending quality time with your baby or toddler.

Jane Crossley, a fitness instructor from Ulverston Health Club, said: “This is a nationwide class and I have a recognised certificate in order to do it.

“It is ideally aimed at new mums and dads who want to keep fit, and there is no need for childcare as they are coming along. It is fun and fitness for all.

“I just thought it was something different to do for the young mums and dads in the area.”

Ms Crossley has been a fitness instructor at Ulverston Health Club for 20 years so the support and training she provides comes with a wealth of experience and has said people wanting to better themselves is what inspires her to do what she does.

“It is really good because you can see some people when they come into the classes they don’t feel up to it but when they are done they feel much better for it,” she said.

“It is hard for people to do things on their own, but if they have a class they need to get to they are more likely to get out and do it.”

BuggyBeats takes place at Askam Rugby Club Monday at 10am, and from Ford Park Ulverston Wednesday and Friday at 10am. For details contact ontracktrainingandfitness22@googlemail.com or ring Jane on 07834 391846
