NO decision has been made yet about whether Ludlow will be able to hold its usual annual Medieval Fair at the end of November which marks the start of Christmas.

But it is looking increasingly unlikely and if it has to be cancelled the town will have lost all the festivals that are so important to attracting visitors and boosting the bank balances of local businesses.

The first to fall foul of the virus was the Spring Food and Marches Transport Festival followed by the loss of the summer Fringe Arts Festival.

The biggest loss to the towns in terms of impact upon visitor numbers was the cancellation of the three day Food Festival in early September.
