FIVE people have been arrested as a result of a series of search warrants in North Wales and Merseyside.

North Wales Police said two men and a woman from Merseyside, plus two local men, were arrested following the warrants in which drugs, cash and weapons were seized.

In a joint initiative following investigation by Central Division Priority Crime Team to tackle County Lines drug dealing, the operation included officers from CID, Neighbourhood Policing, the dog section, CSI, Interceptor team and the newly created Targeted Activity Team that covers Conwy and Denbighshire.

The North Wales warrants are said by North Wales Police to have been made in the Flintshire and Denbighshire areas.

Detective Inspector Daf Curry said: “This operation shows we will go after those organised criminals who seek to profit from the misery of others and use a variety of resources to do so.

“With the help of the community we will gladly continue with operations like these to pursue any criminal groups that operate in the area.”
